Kansas City will likely dodge the big icicle early today, forecasters say, but a cold front late today could change rain into an ice storm. A swath of the Midwest from Oklahoma through central Kansas and into Northwest Missouri did get severe ice conditions overnight and this morning, said Julie Adolphson, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill.
